Instrumentation Tubing

Metric and Imperial OD Tubing by Waverley Brownall is stocked. This seamless tubing comes in 316 stainless steel as standard to ASTM A-269.

This tube coincides with the duoloc single ferrule compression fittings.

Instrumentation Tubing

Stainless steel nominal bore pipe and tubing in 316.

Pipe is stocked in 6M randoms, but for ease of transport, tube can be cut in half (random length is between 5 and 7M.) Tube can be supplied in any length at no extra cost (minimum 1M.)

Sizing:

1/8″ – 2″ schedule 10 and 40 stocked.

Other sizes up to 12″ schedule 10, 40 and 80 are available to order.

Nominal Bore Pipe:

Only available in schedule 10, 40 and 80.

Tubing Material

Our standard tubing material is 316 stainless steel. Stainless steel is a popular choice of both tubing and fittings for its strength and durability. Our standard tubing will help to form long-lasting installations for such industries as LNG/natural gas. Our tubing is often ordered alongside fittings for brand new installation – or fittings can be purchased separately for whichever type of flow control your installation may require.

Stainless Steel 316

316 is an Austenitic chromium-nickel alloy that contains molybdenum.

Stainless steel 316 provides high resistance within areas of high temperature. It holds corrosion resistance against sulfuric, formic and tartaric type acids. For a full properties spec on stainless steel, please see data sheets that comply with UNS S31600 AND UNS S31603.

Tube Selection

Tubing should be solid drawn and fully annealed to ASTM A-269 or equivalent.

Maximum hardness: HRB 80 recommended

*If harder tube is used the HRB 90 should be the maximum allowed and specified.

Straight Coupling Dimensions, Stainless Steel Compression

Straight coupling dimensions for our fitting in the single ferrule compression range.

Our Duoloc range has many fittings available, all supplied with compression nuts in stainless steel.
