Needle valves: Precision Valves
Valves designed for specialised and precise flow regulations are used within systems for gas distribution, water filtration, chemical separation and more. At any point where the need for a liquid or gases flow rate to be controlled, a precision needle valve will allow control and regulation.
Usually, this control of flow can be regulated by a spindle built into the needle valve design. We offer needle valves with superior efficiency, fully tested for pressure performance – designed by engineers for engineers.
High-Pressure
Higher pressures of capability are required in more extreme circumstances.
The Waverley Brownall series of high-pressure needle valves allows leak tight shut-off, for the ultimate control and regulation.
The split-stem design of our valves ensures accurate seating, as well as the bubble tight seal with gland lock nut, close tolerance gland yoke and locking plate. With pressures up to 10,000 psi, our stainless steel high pressure needle valves are built for long-lasting and effective instrument line shut off.

Material of Manufacture
As well as high-pressure needle valves, we offer materials of manufacture that can also cope with higher temperature and environmental capabilities.
Stainless steel 316 is the most popular needle valve material, however, for specialised corrosion resistance; we offer options of Hastelloy, 6MO stainless and Inconel.
Technical Features
Technical features include; media-free threads, self-adjusting shaft seals, back seating spindle, metal to metal bonnet seal, non-rotating ball tip and anti-tamper features.
Thread types; NPT National Pipe Taper, BSPP, BSPT.
Full cast code traceability.
Sizes
Series of gauge and needle valves most popular sizes include from ¼” to ¾” imperial. All high pressure needle valves and nut with thread are manufactured for specific sizing to fit the tube OD application.
Application
Needle valves can be used in areas where the flow of an internal material is to be controlled, usually, to slow the pace of the flow of material or on/off for isolation purposes.
They are ideal for areas of filling vacuum tubes, gas lasers, shut-off for pressure gauges and other piping systems. Designed and manufactured to BS ISO 9001, these high-pressure needle valves are suitable across many industry applications, providing an unmatched competence and regulation service within an instrumentation setting.
