The Prime Minister is set to put Science and Technology at the heart of Industrial strategy, as heard at Jodrell Bank, Cheshire. This will put focus on much needed research into areas such as health, economics and clean technologies.
Over the past few years, we have seen a huge steering towards new innovations to help the UK prosper across industry, but especially in the Science and Engineering markets. Theresa May noted the ultimate goal was for overall improvements for everyone in the country, with encouragement towards job creation and economic growth.

Manufacturing in May Ride The Waves Of Uncertain Economics
Manufacturers in the UK have been riding out the waves of economic uncertainties in 2017-2018. According to a trend survey by CBI Economic Intelligence, numbers within order books have fallen since 2016, however, in other areas such as export, it has been held at well above a historical average.

The World Manufacturing Convention 2018
The World Manufacturing Convention is an event in which year upon year welcomes the newest, brightest and best in technologies and innovation in the manufacturing world. This year alone, over 400 new projects were signed at Hefei of Anhui Province, China.
This years hot topics of discussion included smart manufacturing, robotics and artificial intelligence, the digitalising of supply chains and the latest in financing. With an estimate of 447 billion yuan invested according to local reporters, 165 domestic companies joined with 315 overseas representatives and over 4000 attendees to make 2018 a booming affair.

£400M Investment For Manufacturing Park In Sunderland
With an expectation of creating over 700 engineering and manufacturing jobs, the first phase of planning approval for a manufacturing park in Sunderland has been passed.
Sunderland City Council, South Tyneside Council and Henry Boot Developments have formed a partnership to bring the industrial space of 370-acres to life. The official name, IAMP (split into two parts, IAMP ONE and TWO) stands for the International Advanced Manufacturing Park.
