Mercedes Benz SLR Project: Waverley Brownall And McLaren

The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is a grand tourer car, created by Automotive giants McLaren and Mercedes-Benz.
From designer Gorden Wagener’s vision, this car was built in Portsmouth and at the McLaren Technology Centre in Surrey, England. This car was sold from the year 2003 to 2010.
Variants of this model include: 722 Edition, 722 GT, SLR Stirling Moss and the Roadster (sept 2007.) The McLaren edition was announced after the SLR was discontinued (2010-2011). The 25-unit McLaren edition was based on the earlier SLR designs (besides the Stirling Moss.)
What solution did Wavereley Brownall provide?
Our experienced engineers designed and produced a special brake pipe elbow at our manufacturing facility in Essex. The elbow fitting was made from a special alloy with a unique coating that allowed for maximum performance.
The SLR features Sensotronic Brake Control. Made from carbon-ceramic material, the SLR’s brake disks provide great stopping power and fade resistance – especially when compared to steel discs. More information on the Mercedes Benz SLR brake system can be found on Wikipedia.
