The Armada gas field installation is located 244km to the east of Aberdeen in the central North Sea. The gas fields are named after British sailors who fought in the Spanish Armada (1588).

The £430 million armada development (originally, budget of £537) has a peak gas production of 450 million standard cubic feet per day. (Ref: 1.1 of the BG Environmental Report)
Gas
The Central Area Transmission System (CATS Pipeline) is where the natural gas from the Armada field is transported. Based in Teeside in the North East of England, this processing system serves over 30 fields in the UK through 250 miles of pipeline.
The C.A.T.S transmission system has a record of outstanding safety since commission in 1993.
Oil
The oil produced from Armada is transported via the FPS Forties Pipeline System which has a capacity of over 1 million barrels per day. View the FPS catchment area.
